Ferrara gastronomy has antique traditions; the Estensi family adored tasting up to 30 courses.
RIPARESTAURANT, seating 150 guests and double this amount when the inner Renaissance courtyard is used, certainly does not shirk this antique tradition, indulging in the careful preparation of the local specialities, accompanying each dish with excellent wines and the now famous bread, known worldwide.
Tradition indeed reigns here with the most typical and tasty recipes, which are elaborated with skill and imagination.
We recommend the delicious macaroni pie and "Cappellacci" filled with pumpkin (a sort of Ravioli). We then suggest the "Salama da sugo" (a sort of soft cooked sacked pork) with mashed potatoes: a dish that you will certainly never forget, just like you will never forget the city of Ferrara: a small city with enormous appeal.
A complete meal costs around 45.000 lire ($27).
The restaurant is open daily from 12.30 to 2.30 pm. and 7.30 to 10.00 pm.; closed Mondays. It is also closed from the 25th July to the 25th
August.
